Don't worry...be happy! Just do it!

I get a lot of emails from readers who want to start using film and process it themselves as well, but are afraid that it might be a difficult thing to do.

So this way, a lot of possible film users get put off.

Let me use this opportunity to debunk all your fears, guys! Nothing could be simpler....in fact, all you need is an active interest in the process and the rest will come easy. That goes for anything really, doesn't it? If you don't have an interest in something, then by default you won't do well in it.

Let me tell you how I started many years ago. At that time, I was a boy and money was very tight...my parents couldn't afford to buy me a camera or the film for it, so the next best thing was to join a photo club, which we happened to have in our school. They had everything you could want for....all kins of cameras to choose, and the facilities to process as many films as you liked.

So the first camera I used belonged to the photo club, and all the films I processed were done there, too.

And believe me, it was as easy as learning to ride a bike...even easier in fact, to develop and print a film.

My advice  to all those who want to start, is just jump in and give it a go...you'll kick yourself for not doing it earlier!

The most under-estimated classic camera ever-The Olympus Trip 35

Yes, indeed!

The Olympus Trip 35 (that's the metal bodied one, not the later cheapo plastic one!) was, and still is, a very, very
useful camera to have in your car or even in your pocket.

It requires no focussing, no shutter speed setting, no aperture settings...no nothing....just point it at your subject, and press the button...bam!

Beautiful Olympus Trip 35 classic film camera, with FREE film and new Green lizard effect coverings

The camera has an inbuilt automatic exposure system, that doesn't use ANY batteries whatsoever! How's that?

Don't worry about film for it, either..it uses standard 35mm films available anywhere!

And it produces results that rival more professional cameras even today.

Buy it   here   TODAY!

Go on, it comes to you fully tested and with a FREE FILM, too!

The way digital photography is heading...

I'm the first one to put up my hands and say that I use both film AND digital cameras!

I see nothing wrong with this. Both are tools, both are there to be used.

But when it comes down to real ethics of photography, we need to sit down and think about what
is real photography and what is not.

In my books, real photography is recording what exists out there. In other words, if I happen to shoot photos
say, of a field in the countryside, and then realise the shots don't look good because of all those telegraph
poles in the way, and then I go removing them with some software tool, to me that's not photography.

Why? Because you've just taken away something that was there in real life, and created an image which is
not true to life.
Ok, I agree that film photographers do dodging and burning etc in the darkroom, to lighten or darken parts of their shots, but that's not going to present a scene that is not there in real life...it's the same scene, but maybe a little darker or lighter.

To be honest, this is a contentious issue, and one which will have people arguing till they are blue in the face!

But you see where I'm coming from, I hope.

Apologies for the break, guys!

Sincere apologies everyone for not writing on this blog for a very long time!

I've been very busy indeed with one thing or another.....

I'm planning to increase my postings on here now, as I have just shut down another blog that was taking up valuable time.

First to come here will be a Street Shooter's workbook, for all you guys and girls who want to, or are already
shooting street pics.

Stay tuned, folks!
